HELP and support for victims of violent­ crime is now available in Kranskop at the SAPS victim support office, a combined project of the NGO, the Umvoti Child Assessment and Therapy Centre and the SAP Kranskop.

Counsellors will assist victims of violent crimes offering the following services - victim counselling and debriefing, referral to support agencies such as social workers and psychologists, court preparation when requested to testify, and facilitating emergency accommodation after hours.

It is the mandate of the Kranskop station commander and members of Kranskop SAPS to strive for the best performance to protect and serve the community. Therefore any victim of violent crimes is encouraged to make use of the service’s offered at the victim support office at the Kranskop SAPS. Inquiries will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Individual consulting times are from 8am to 12pm every Wednesday and Saturday.
