­THERE are many reasons why we must eat plenty of fruit and vegetables­ every day - this is what we learnt over the past two weeks at the Kindergarten - fruit and vegetables should be the foundation of a healthy diet. They are packed with essential vitamins, minerals and fibre­.

Uncle Rainer Kas- sier took us on a tractor ride on his farm, where we saw that vegetables come in many shapes and sizes - root vegetables (potatoes and carrots) grow under the ground while leafy vegetables (spinach, lettuce, cabbage and broccoli) grow above the ground. A big thank you to Uncle Rainer for making time for us to visit his vegetable garden
