THERE were many words of praise for retiring Indlovana Primary School principal, Mr M.P. Ndlovu, at his farewell at the school on 11 June.

Mr Ndlovu has led the school for the past 20 years.

There was full turn-out of the schooland#039;s role players, including circuit manager Ms N.E. Mkhize from Unitrades and Mini Cash personnel, principals and teachers from Umvoti schools, and parents.

Mrs Mngadi, acting principal, congratulated Mr Ndlovu and wished him well in his retirement. On behalf of all she thanked him for the many important matters he had taught the school over the years.

She expressed the views of the many past and current pupils, teachers and parents that Mr Ndoluv­and#039;s dedication and honesty contributed much to the integrity of the teaching profession.

Mr Ndlovu, who is a born and bred Greytonian, will remain here with his wife and told the Greytown Gazette he is already enjoying his retirement.

The school expressed thanks to Min Cash and Unitrades, Mr Casanova, Pannar, Spar, Mr Mavundla and Aquelle for sponsoring the function. Mr Casanovaand#039;s wonderful gift of 101 pairs of shoes to needy pupils was received with much appreciation.

Five pupil also received full uniforms from the taxi associaton in a ceremony in Dundee last Tuesday. The school and parents expressed their gratitude. - HW Dube
