CONGRATULATIONS to Entembisweni Primary School poets who came out tops in the annual poetry competition hosted by the school on 15 October.

The competition was of a high level with poets from surrounding schools - Emgaga and Candabuthule - also competing. The aim of this project is to keep the youngsters away from drugs, teenage pregnancy and bullying.

Entembisweni pupils came first, second and third. Msizi Nkomo was placed first, Mogcebo Luthuli second and Sisanda Ngubane third in creative poetry, while Celimpilo Nzama was second in the praise poetry.

This successful event was sponsored by World
Vision, and the school expressed its appreciation to the organisation. Next year it is planned to include all the schools in the Umvoti circuit in the competition.
