ON Thursday 27 August the U13 girls’ soccer team played Wembley College and New Hanover at Wembley.

In the first game the girls played well and won 1-0 against Wembley. The second game proved more difficult with the final score 1-0 to New Hanover.

The U10 played Wembley and had a good game to draw 2-2.

On Saturday 65 pupils travelled to Pietermaritzburg to take part in the annual Pelham inter-schooland#039;s classic, sponsored by KFC and Sportsmanand#039;s Warehouse.

A total of eight schools took part and GJS were placed fifth in the boys’ division and overall in fourth place.

This athletic meeting provided pupils with much-needed exposure and to compete in a more difficult and competitive environment
