Municipal hot air, as usual

2015-10-07 06:00

Sir, IN response to the article in the Greytown Gazette of 23 September regarding the overbilling of electricity accounts, I reply.

To Sphindile Ngiba, I would suggest that you refrain from treating ratepayers of Greytown (your bosses) like kindergarten attendees.

I would suggest that you and your underlings get your collective act together instead of feeding us a load of blabber about migrating from one system to another, about hand-held devices and about capturing discrepancies and start reversing the overcharging very quickly. There are a whole lot of very angry residents out there who are baying for your blood.

We are not going to discuss with you methods of paying these exorbitant amounts off, you sort it out.

Are you telling me that you undercharged me R1 400 for the previous month, because that is what you overcharged me for September.

The people await your action.

Brian Walker
