‘Open Gardens’ in Greytown

THREE local gardens will be open to the public in this yearand#039;s Stihl Open Gardens but for one day only. On Saturday 3 October the gardens of Colleen and Wally Slatter at Silverleigh, Sue Rawstorne at Rawstornes, Voortrekker Street and the Country Nursery will be open for viewing.

Of interest to Greytonians is a special viewing of Marilyn Northmoreand#039;s daughter, Sharon Butler’s magnificent garden in the Midlands.

Marilyn, well-known ex-Greytonian and gardening expert will give a walk and talk around the garden and two Amber Valley gardens on Wednesday 14 October. Greytown Garden Cluband#039;s end-of-year meeting is on Tuesday 20 October ( note date change) at the home of Deon and Esther van Rooyen, with a talk on orchids
