‘Recruiting’ con man warning

2015-09-02 06:00

PANNAR Seed has issued a warning to the Greytown community that someone is claiming to be recruiting staff on behalf of the company.

Operating in the vicinity of Mavundla Square, the con man apparently defrauds job seekers by requesting a R70 and#034;administration feeand#034;.

Under no circumstances does Pannar request payment for processing job applications.

Vacant positions are advertised on the company website and a face-to-face interview is conducted to determine a suitable candidate.

Pannar appeals to those seeking employment to beware of unsolicited job offers supposedly made on behalf of large businesses or government establishments as he may change his tactic.

Job seekers should be cautious of random offers of employment.

It could happen that such offerings are a lure to get unsuspecting people into a vehicle on the promise of being taken for an interview, but they could land up being assaulted or raped.

Pannar and Mavundla Square security have CCTV footage of this individual and are on the lookout for him.

The matter has also been reported to the Greytown Police Station.

If you have any information about this con, report it to Ganga Moodley, SHE and Security Manager: Pannar Seed on 033 413 9595 or 082 772 6797
