GREYTOWN and district crafts women were at the KZN Financial Literacy Village Market­ at the 2015 Royal Agricultural Show in Pietermaritzburg.

The stand looked like village market with a spaza shop and 25 market stalls that sold produce, handmade garments, craft, processed products - ranging from pickled vegetables, jams to beauty products.

Prior to the show the women attended a finance, pricing and costing and management course conducted by the Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business.

This initiative is a partnership between Provincial Treasury, the Pietermaritzburg Business Chamber, the KZN Department of Agricultural and Rural Development, Msunduzi Municipality, Zimele Developing Community Self-Reliance, Isolezwe, Ithala Development Finance Corporation, Inkombandlela­ Accountants, Old Mutual, Productivity SA and Amalgamated Tobacco Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd.
