Slippers for Reach for a Dream

2015-06-17 06:01

THIS year Reach for a Dream will be activating the annual Slipper Day campaign Friday 7 August.

All can take part in the campaign by reaching for their slippers and wearing them to work, school, the mall, all in aid of helping children who are fighting life-threatening illnesses.

You can purchase your sticker from any Wimpy outlet in a show of support and solidarity for the Reach for a Dream Foundation. Wear your sticker and slippers to Wimpy on 7 August and this will guarantee you a free cup of regular Wimpy coffee.

and#034;Last year, stickers sold through Wimpy outlets, resulted in just over R1.1 million in funds for Reach for a Dream and this year we would like to sell more to our loyal customers to further aid this non-profit organisationand#034;, says Karabo Morudu, Wimpy brand manager.

Reach for a Dream has been around for 27 years and has dedicated itself to making dreams come true. No dream is too small or too big and ranges from children wanting to see the ocean for the first time, taking a drive in a Ferrari, a flight in a helicopter, becoming a doctor for the day or visiting Disney World.

and#034;All funds and proceeds raised through the our Slipper Day campaign will help put a smile on the faces of the foundationand#039;s and#039;Dream childrenand#039;, who have benefitted through the generous support of companies such as Wimpy,” said says Bronwyn Feldwick-Davis from Reach for a Dream.

Donand#039;t let their dreams disappear. You can help a childand#039;s dream come true. Buy your R10 sticker from a Wimpy near you from 1 July to the 7 August, and wear your slippers proudly. - Supplied
