Tugela Ferry Mall welcomed

YOUNG and old from around Msinga participated in the three-day festivities which marked the opening of the Tugela Ferry Mall on 23 April.

With more than 56 stores, the 13 527m² mall has been welcomed by communities in Tugela Ferry and surrounding areas. A large number of stores are already trading, including Shoprite, Capitec, Power Fashion Factory, Cashbuild, KFC and Dunns.

The mall launch was well attended by the community who enjoyed performances by traditional artists and children’s entertainment.

Mayor of Tugela Ferry, Councillor S.J. Sikhakhane­ and Nkosi S.W. Mthembu, chief of the area, were among those who attended and were involved in the official opening.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was carried out by Gavin Tagg of Retail Network Services, Basie Muller of GK Projects, Nkosi S.W. Mthembu and Mayor S.J. Sikhakhane.

Nkosi Mthembu said: “We thank you Retail Network Services for developing the mall.

“This mall is for the community, the people of Tugela Ferry must protect and support it.”

On behalf of Nkosi Mthembu, his spokesman Moses Ngubane, in commenting on the mall, said it was “a much needed development, it has developed the area and created jobs”
