OUR Grade 5 pupils sprang into action on Spring Day visiting Arcadia Home for Senior Citizens to bring in the new season. Pupils each made beautiful floral cards with inspiring spring quotes and learnt how to make their own corsages. Thank you to the whole class for the beautiful flower arrangements - you sure brightened up their Spring Day.

Letcee is a local NGO which provides food and daily care for underprivileged children in Grey- town.

Wembley decided to make this organisation a bit brighter by collecting and donating balls from pupils on Spring Day. Thank you to each pupil who donated a ball.

Last Friday a few of the high school pupils went to Khayalmi for a few hours of afternoon fun. Upon arrival our buses were stampeded by eager young children and each latched onto a pupil who was then their friend for the duration of our stay.

After many games of soccer, swinging children around, climbing on their jungle gym and fishing tennis balls out of trees each child was given a packet of Nik Naks and all pupils and children sat in the shade and enjoyed a well-deserved rest, which turned into a 20-minute hairstyling party.

Thank you to Mr and Mrs Holst for giving us the opportunity to spend time with the children, we were truly blessed.

On Saturday 29 August our top eight girls and top eight boys’ tennis players in the SP phase were given an incredible opportunity to learn from doubles specialists Natalie Grandin and Garry Commins, with Natalie reaching a career high-ranking of 144 in singles and 22 in doubles tennis.

They taught us where to stand, what angle to serve from and how to communicate with our partner with hand signals. These tips will help to improve our tennis. We thank the sponsors for this incredible opportunity, which we really enjoyed.
