You get what you voted for

2015-10-14 06:00

Sir, THE letter in the Greytown Gazette, dated 7 October in which Councillor Paul Buss stated: “You get what you voted for” refers. I support this totally. Ever since this local government was voted into power a lot has gone wrong with the governance of the municipality. The appointment in the municipality of people in key positions, who do not have the qualifications, has led to the maladministration and financial disaster we face. There is no service delivery as officials are not qualified to do the job but are there because of the political party they belong to. The people of Umvoti did not vote for the betterment of municipal officials’ life style. They also did not vote for maladministration and the betterment of officials’ lives, but for the betterment of all people equally.

In conclusion – we voted them in 2011 and we can vote them out in 2016.
