Bakkie thief arrested

2017-05-24 06:00

THERE is a Voortrekker Street resident who is very happy with Field Security. Last Tuesday night his bakkie, which was parked in his yard, was broken into.
The door was forced open and the thieves broke the ignition. So with no power the two of them used human power and pushed the bakkie out of the yard, across the road and into Okes Street.

While they were huffing and puffing on their way, a Field Security patrol van came upon them and the personnel queried who the owner of the vehicle was.
Their inability to answer led to the prompt arrest of one of the pushers while his colleague in crime ran away.

The bakkie owner, Mr A. Shange has opened a case with the Greytown SAPS and told the Greytown Gazette he was very appreciative of the security firm’s assistance. The bakkie is currently being repaired.
