Be mindful of fire dangers

2018-05-30 06:02

THE Umvoti FPA is appealing to the Umvoti community to be mindful of the fire dangers as we are approaching the fire season on June 1.

It is important that farmers inform their local FPA (through G911) before they burn, and be cautious of the changing weather conditions.

Brushwood burning will continue until May 31.

The UFPA urges farmers who have unburnt brushwood to complete the operation as soon as possible.

The UFPA committee will review the brushwood burn status on May 29 and will advise how to proceed after May 31.
