THE Grade 1 to Grade 7 pupil programme called Masifunde Siphumelele After School Programme assists the pupils from Indlovana and Tholinhlanhla Primary schools with English, reading and basic computer skills.

Masifunde provides a nutritious meal to all pupils before classes commence.

The programme teaches English and numeracy through basic computing and builds English basic fundamentals through phonics, reading and comprehension to give pupils confidence in communicating, reading and writing for success in their education and careers.

The programme is currently partially funded by St James Anglican Church, which we are grateful for as the programme would cease to exist without their help.

We are short of resources, including reading books and computers.

The programme is operated by four volunteers and a facilitator who earns a stipend.

For donations or enquiries please contact Dumi Magwevana from Umvoti Aids Centre at 033 413 2745/6 or 076 679 4573.
