FORGIVENESS and loyalty are the key components that kept the marriage of a Greytown couple intact for 51 years. Theo (74) and Greit Herholdt (73) met for the first time at a church function at a farm outside Greytown more than 50 years ago. The couple will be celebrating Valentine’s Day at their home in Pine Street tomorrow, February 14. “Love, trusting each other and forgiveness is what kept our marriage strong. We do everything together and take decisions together. “We had up and downs as a couple, but we forgive each other and move on. Forgiveness in a relationship is very important. “We knew each other when were children but we only started dating when I was 20 years and he was 21 years,” Greit said.
