ON July 18, Greytown Junior School celebrated Mandela Day. All the pupils generously donated a variety of non-perishable items to worthy charities in Greytown.

The junior primary phase gave their donations to Philani Crèche, which has been in existence since 2008 and which started as a feeding scheme. It has since grown and now feeds children up to five years old.

The senior primary phase gave their donations to Letcee, which started in 1993. Letcee feeds 118 children twice a day, and 1 988 children at each play group.

The donations were well received by both organisations.

The staff of Greytown Junior School would like to give their heartfelt thanks to all the parents and pupils for their support and kind gestures. — Supplied.
