CHRISTMAS is a time where we should stop the hum-drum of our busy schedules and routine and give thanks to the Lord, from whom the most precious gift of Jesus Christ came in order for us to be as blessed as we are with all of God’s precious love and mercy.

As we give Him the deserved honour and glory, we remember those who are not as fortunate as we are and give our time, our love, our prayers, our hope, our blessings to make them feel just as merry as we are.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34-35

The Umvoti business community did just that for the children at Umvoti Aids Centre.

As a centre, we are humbled by the effort, generosity, love, and compassion that we received when we were knocking on doors in our efforts to raise funds so that we could spread the Christmas cheer and joy a little further to children of Lindelani and TinTown informal settlements, the Hostel, Nhlalakahle location, Walneka, Majayiva farm, Townlands and The Coloured Village this year; and we hope and pray that we could spread the Christmas cheer this way every year.

The generosity of Umvoti community enabled us to feed over 700 children who attended our World Aids Day Christmas party, with attendees offered games and prizes, presents, ice-cream and cake.

The Centre wishes to send a big thank you to all the businesses and individuals who generously contributed to this beautiful occasion.
