UMVOTI Aids Centre is grateful to have been part of a fun-filled day organised by Sihle Sithole for the community of Nhlalakahle on Saturday, April 27.

The Greytown community came out in their numbers to participate in the 3km and 8km fun walks, aerobics, soccer, indlamu, relay, karate kata (specified series of a variety of moves, with stepping and turning, while attempting to maintain perfect form) and Tameshiwari (the art of breaking wood, tile, bricks, and stone with the fist or the bare foot), and to see a motor bike stunt show and a performance by Afro-pop local talent Makhehlane Zondi.

Our heart-felt gratitude goes to the Mayor of Umvoti Municipality, Thamsanqa Ngubane; Aheers; Min Cash; Safura Mahabeer; Thami Njoko; Vukani Zakwe; Mfanyana Zakwe; Harmony Retreat; Amathole FC; Antartica FC; Bikkis FC; Bhubela FC; Cabazini young boys FC; Umvoti Aids Dojo; Umvoti Kyokushin Academy; Tholinhlanhla Primary School; Skhumbuzo Dlamini and his biker friends; Sinamuva Luncheon Club; and the Greytown community at large who supported this event. We aim to make this an annual sporting event. — Supplied.
