Creating quiet space

2019-02-06 06:01

THE tranquil home and structured yet tranquil garden of Arvin and Varsha Aheer is the fitting venue for Greytown Garden Club’s first meeting of 2019 entitled Interior Trends – Creating Quiet Space.

The heat of mid-summer and the busy pace of daily life often leaves one feeling exhausted and in need of a calming, peaceful haven where one can retreat for a little peace and contemplative silence. Whether it be within the home, out in the garden or in the transition area between interior and exterior, the creation of personal “quiet space” has become a sought after trend. Talented interior designer, Shae McDonald and her team from Shae Interiors in Hilton will be sharing a host of inspiring and practical ideas of how to create a personal sanctuary in the home environment.

This meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 12 at 46 York Street with registration starting at 9am. The presentation by the Shae Interiors team will be preceded by the Greytown Garden Club annual general meeting that will start at 9.30am. After the meeting all who attend will be offered the opportunity to explore the exquisitely textured, formal garden that Varsha has created while pursuing her fascination with succulents and structure. Following tradition, members and guests will be served a sumptuous tea provided by the enthusiastic committee, all of whom have agreed to serve on the committee for another year.

The Shae Interiors team is compiling presentation packs to hand out to everyone who attends the meeting, it is therefore essential that the committee has an accurate number of members and guests attending. Any visitors wishing to attend the meeting are urged to respond by Friday, February 8.
