Dams on Muden land reform farms

2017-05-31 06:05

THE Department of Rural Development and Land Reform has begun the renovation of dams on land reform farms in Muden.
This follows constant appeals from the Zibambeleni Community Development Organisation to the department after the recent drought.

Major beneficiaries are women and children in terms of food security, which will be assisted and sustained by the availability of water for food production on these land reform farms.

However, the quantity of dams in terms of numbers to be renovated is relatively small and the Zimbaleni Community Organisation therefore requests Umvoti Municipality to come on board in renovating the remaining dams on land reform farms in Muden for enhanced crop, livestock productivity and improved quality of life for the community.
