Dog display at farmer’s market

2017-03-29 06:02

A NEW attraction at the farmer’s market to be held at the Beehive on Saturday 1 April is a dog display organised by Greytown dog trainer, Brenda Munitich

There will be competitions in three different disciplines for the four leggeds and their two-legged handlers.

First an obedience rally, which is much the same as a car rally in that the dog and handler move from place to place following signs.

The dog with the quickest time and fewest errors will win the competition. Dogs will be on lead for novice dogs and off lead for more experienced dogs

There will also be a demonstration of tracking (a person or object) and also how the dogs are taught to track. Finally, there will be an agility competition both on and off leads.
