ON 17 July the eMdlovana Youth Group visited the Izingane Zethu Centre to celebrate Mandela Day with the children in the spirit of humanity and selflessness as Mandela taught.

Gift packs, which included fruit, chips, cool drinks, clothing and toys were given to the delighted children. This was the third installment of the youth group’s project - the first one was in 2013 at the Umvoti Aids Centre and the second at the Greytown Hospital pediatric ward.

This project was a huge success and was welcomed by the community.

Spokesperson Dumi Mduli told the Greytown Gazette that the group’s long-term vision is to establish the eMdlovana Foundation to implement frequent similar projects and create sustainable charity developments in the Umvoti district.

The eMdlovana Youth Group thanks its sponsors Projects Republic, Mankayinga, Mascor, Emesson, Aheers Supermarket, Boxer Supermarket, Min Cash Supermarket, Umvoti Tyres, Simply Models and Radio Khwezi.

The group also thanks Yekani Xulu, Debbie Comins, Luzanne Barnard, Khumbulani Vilakazi, Pamela Zuma, Linda Chonco, Cosmos Eke, Ndumiso Maduna, Malusi Jalubani, Sebolelo Ndlovu, Sphe Sibiya, Bayanda Zondi, Andile Malunga, Hlengiwe Sikhosana and Sihle Sibiya.
