Early alert for early deadlines

2017-09-06 06:02

BELIEVE it or not - there is another "double" public holiday affecting Greytown Gazette deadlines.

Heritage Day falls on Sunday 24 September, so the government, in its wisdom, has declared Monday 25 September to also be a Heritage Day public holiday.

This means that deadlines for the Greytown Gazette of 26 September are once again ridiculously early.

An appeal once again to advertisers - deadline for booking advertisments is 1pm. Thursday 21 September and for classified ads Friday 22 September at 10am.

General stories, reports, school news - please on Friday - we will do whatever possible to publish any sports news received on the Monday.

This really is the final early public holiday alert for this year - fortunately the Day of Reconciliation, which falls on 16 December, is a Saturday.
