THE Red Meat Producers Organisation (RPO) in conjunction with the Milk Producers Organisation (MPO) hosted an animal husbandry course over four days for members of the uMvoti Agricultural Society’s (UAS) staff and there were some emerging farmers who attended in Greytown.

The course covered quite a few different and relevant aspects of this topic from animal reproduction, basic veterinary practices, hoof care, observing and handling animals to basic husbandry practices.

The course was run in Zulu and the 20 participants received a certificate on completion. The course was at no charge for UAS members.

Should a land owner who is not a UAS member wish to join the association, please e-mail uas@uvmoti.co.za to request membership forms. — Supplied.
