Emgaga Primary School celebrates Mandela Day

2018-07-25 06:01

EMGAGA Primary School pupils and teachers celebrated Mandela Day with a difference. All the teachers wore black and the younger ones from Grade R to Grade 7 performed a variety of items.

They read aloud books about Nelson Mandela, recited poetry, sang songs and danced.

The pupils also acted in a play about the Rivonia Trial.

A brief outline of Mandela’s life was given by one of the teachers and questions were asked and answered.

Pupils were also happy to learn that on July 26, 40 of them will be presented with school uniforms by an NGO.
