CONGRATULATIONS to the Emgaga Primary School U12 boys soccer team who took part in, and won, the Danone U12 tournament at King Edward Park on 23 March.

The eight schools that took part included Emgaga, Tholinhlanhla, Vikindlala, Endubazi, Sheshisamsamo, Halalisani, Eshane and Indlovana.

The Emgaga team did well by beating Tholinhlanhla 4-2 in the quarter-final and in the semi-final the team beat Endubazi 4-1.

It was a goalless draw when the whistle blew in the finals for the two teams, Emgaga and Vikindlala. In the penalty shoot-out Emgaga won 2-1 and will now represent Umvoti CMC at district level on 22 April in Dundee. - H.B. Mosiea
