THE Pre-Primary pupils from Wartburg Kirchdorf School hosted their annual Eco-Greenie day.

The 2019’s initiative was to collect as many plastic bottle tops as possible to use in a recycling art project. The aim is to use the bottle tops to make an art mural to place on one of the walls.

Altogether they collected 10 000 bottle tops, with Amy Allen collecting the most — 2 256 tops.

The learners spent most of the day cleaning the tops and sorting them into the different colour buckets, ready for the art project.

Well done to Amy and everyone else who contributed in any small way to make a difference.
