THE Greytown Child and Youth Care Centre is hosting a fun farm market this Saturday, 30 April with lots of activities. The venue is the Beehive and the market will open at 7am and close at 2pm.

As it is a long weekend, a visit to the market will be ideal entertainment for young and older visitors. Activities for the youngsters include boere sport, sack racing, tug of war, egg racing, jumping castle, and more.

As a farm market there will be tasty home-made food and hand-crafted items including, vetkoek, ice cream, yoghurts, wors rolls, toys, rag dolls, plants, wood laser items, and more.

Pieter Swanepoel of Greytown Youth and Child Care Centre in appealing to the community to support this initiative and local businesses.

"We are planning this to be a two-monthly event where people of Greytown get together and trade their products, therefore we are asking business people to contact us and book stalls."

There is also an exciting competition to be held on the day. A large rooster has been donated - buy a ticket and guess the weight and the winner will walk away with it.

For more information, contact Sue Bornman on 072 827 2483 or Pieter on 033 413 2133.
