Two minutes of silence are held annually at 11 am to remember the people who died in the war.It was decided by the Kranskop Farmers Association many years ago to honour those who lost their lives while serving their country and because of violence. The owner of St Cathryn’s, Piet Net, led the proceeding by opening with a prayer. Wreaths were laid for the following: the animals, for example dogs and horses; the SAPS and security members; women and children; farmers and their workers; and all other citizens who have died because of violence. — Supplied.
