IT has been an outstanding success with a total of 135 of all ages taking part in the Firebreak Fun 5 Night Trail Run Series.
The final trail was held last Monday followed by prize giving and, as with all five events, much appreciated soup and gluhwein. Prize winners based on the best 4/5 races for each runner:
1. Kwenza Ngunbane - entry into Run The Berg Trail run
2. Lindelani Ximba - Racefood Jacket and hamper
3. Michael Chiazzari - Racefood hamper
The ladies race was exciting with Elzare Slatter out in front from race one and also claiming her Run The Berg entry, but it came down to a sprint finish to decide second and third place with Heather Clegg just beating Theresa Hohls to win the Racefood jacket and hamper.

The junior section was well supported.
The winner was Nicholas Holmes, Sam Mason in second place and third was Ross Holmes.
Junior girls winner was Meg Mason with Shannon Meter second, who all received a Racefood gift.

A successful series would not have been possible without the support of the community and volunteers, who chipped in to ensure it was a success, but especially thanks to the landowners - Derrick Clegg for the host beautiful venue and trails and landowners - Hayden Chiazzari, Ian Hill, Shane Holmes, Greg Howden,Patrick O'Sullivan and John Odendaal - for the other stunning farms to run through.

Next event is the Coddiwomple daytime relay run on 23 October – details to follow shortly.
