Fire breaks programme by Umvoti Disaster Management

2018-06-06 06:02

GREYTOWN, Kranskop and business communities that may be affected, are hereby informed of the fire breaks programme that should be starting on Monday, June 11. Waste Management and Mr Andrew Merson from Bracken are part of the programme.

Fire breaks are essential to protect veld fires from damaging our homes and properties as fire risk is always high in the winter season.

To avoid smoke; we are all requested to close windows and try not to leave our washing on washing lines. Pets can also be affected by smoke.

The programme starts in Greytown and then moves to Kranskop. Unfortunately, we cannot provide exact days because all depends on weather conditions.

Your co-operation will be appreciated and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by this annual programme.
