FOUR women were injured after they drove into a car that was broken down on R33 Road near New Hanover on Saturday, June 15.

According to a report, the injured were returning home after attending a wedding function in Greytown.

Spokesperson for Netcare 911 Shawn Herbst said: “Reports from the scene indicated that the driver of a light motor vehicle drove into a car that was broken down on the road.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that four adult females had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Once treated all the patients were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

Station commander for New Hanover SAPS Captain Siphiwe Ntuli confirmed the accident.

“The police attended, and no serious injuries were reported. No arrests were made,” Ntuli said.
