THE Lutheran Congregation Bad Laer invited Reverend Jabulani and his wife Faith from Greytown to visit them from October 15 to November 2 in Germany.

For more than 20 years a partnership between the two Lutheran parishes have joyfully existed, and visiting each other has led to the strengthening of this partnership.

Members of the congregation from Germany have visited the Umvoti Circuit to gain impressions of the situation in the partner parishes in South Africa.

During their stay in Germany, Mr and Mrs Ngubane participated in the many activities that took place to celebrate the 500 years of reformation. Also the official visitation programme of the Dean belonging to Bad Laer took place while they were there. The Ngubanes stayed with the Horn family and joined in meetings and church services that gave them an insight into the diaconal work in the region and the Kindergarden of the congregation, called Arche Noah. In October 2018 a delegation from Germany will visit the Lutheran parishes, including the partner parish, Ehlanzeni.
