SATURDAY afternoon's somewhat strange weather did not stop four bowlers playing in the first round of the club's drawn pairs championships.
Gerhard Balzer and Jordan Bondoris beat Erika Fischer and Wessel Pretorius, while Jack Drew and Kobus Uys lost to Chris Fischer and Wendy Edwards.
