From the Ditch

SINCE there were no entries for the ladies singles championships it has had to be postponed, but the men’s singles matches have gone well so far.

Roy Thomson had the better of Schalk Jacobs, Wessel Pretorius succumbed to Jacques Minnaar, Wolfie Lubowitski was beaten by Chris Fischer while Bryan Paul narrowly lost to Jack Drew.

The semi-finals were played with Jack Drew having a fine game against Roy Thomson, who was ahead all the way, only to give it away 21-19 at the end.
Chris Fischer yielded to Jacques Minnaar so the finals (perhaps Saturday) is between Jack Drew and Jacques Minnaar - it should be a good match to watch.

Business league has been an enjoyable full house for the past two Thursdays, another four to go.

Jordan Bonorchris has been selected to plag in the Niba U21 team to play in Bloemfontein on 3 April, well done and good luck.
