From the Ditch

YOU win some, you lose some. Same old story this weekend as we played Hilton.

Tony Smith fought a valiant battle with André Roberts, Roy Thomson and Schalk Jacobz to go down 30-13.

Meanwhile Jack Drew’s team with Bryan Paul, Wolfie Lubowitski and Jordan Bonorchis got off to a 7-0 start before giving away a 4 and a 5 to lose the first skin 7-9, but as the weather cleared, so did the game and the Greytonians won 28-18.

Rain is being forecast, but hopefully there will be a break on Sunday 15th when the postponed-due-to-rain Bracken Timbers fun day is on.

Entry is R60 per player, which includes tea and lunch while non-players can enjoy a braai lunch of pork neck steaks and boerewors for R40. Please phone Bryan Pau on 033 413 2157 to book.
