From the Ditch

2017-11-15 06:01

THIS Friday November 17 Greytown Bowls Club members will say farewell to Wessel Pretorius, who is leaving Greytown.

He was thrown in the deep end two years ago as president of the club and has seen us through some tough times.

In that time we have had our triumphs - the lady bowlers have done well. Erika Fischer is top bowler for Niba (Natal Inland).

The men’s league won the mini league and progressed to third division and are top of the log.

Members are reminded that the braai is on Friday from 6pm. Meat is already provided, just bring a salad to share. Please RSVP Karen Cordy to organise catering.

Note that the date for the popular Jack Mason Christmas do has again been changed - it will now definitely be held on Sunday December 10 and it promises good fun, good bowls and good food.
