IT was a grand finale to this year’s the Business League contest even though the rain meant that for some teams after eight ends the greens became too wet to play!

However, the final between 10-ten and Linkseed B was levelled after the eight ends at 4-4, so a sudden death ninth end had to be played for a result.

It went the Linkseed team of Louw Lotter, JP van der Merwe and Kobus Uys who are proud holders of the shield trophy for the next year.

Men’s League did not fare so well against Umgeni Waterfall and came away with only four-and-a-half points.

There is only one match left to play this Saturday, against Howick — if you would like to watch, it should start at noon.

Competitions will start off with selected pairs and notice is on the board — entries close on April 28 and matches start from May 5.
