From the ditch

2018-11-07 06:02

LAST Wednesday the bowls club hosted their annual general meeting. On Thursday, Elan Rabe’s Art Group was held and on Friday we got broken into and the kitchen was cleaned out.

On Saturday we had a good turn out for bowls and three single matches were played.

Wendy Edwards had a fine tussle before going down to Omo Dinkelman in the ladies singles handicap finals.

Gerard Balzer had a field day, out-playing Wolfie Lubowiski and then winning a tight game against Jacque Minnaar 21-19.

We then found out that our ships bell was also stolen in the robbery. Will we ever hear the clarion call that has been a part of bowls for so many years again?
