Funulwazi Crèche appeal

2018-06-27 06:02

FUNULWAZI Crèche is situated in Thembisweni, one of the most remote and marginalised communities in the Umvoti District. Forty-two pre-school children attend this one-roomed facility that serves as a “classroom”.

The crèche is staffed by three young women who work voluntarily, therefore receiving no salaries, to provide the rudiments of pre-school education for the children.

These enterprising young women are striving to provide better facilities for their young charges.

They are appealing to anyone who is able to assist with equipment such as toys, a first-aid kit and food parcels to provide a daily meal for the children.

All assistance will be greatly appreciated by the staff and children attending the crèche.

Anyone able to assist the Funulwazi Crèche is to please e-mail Natasha Eggers at
