The KZNA Sub-Youth Athletics Championships took place at Kingspark Athletics Stadium on Saturday, November 4. Greytown High entered three athletes in the U15 age group and all three brought home medals.

Andiswa Zama achieved bronze for shot put, despite being a year younger than many off her competitors and only just having healed from a wrist fracture. Asanda Mbhele threw her personal best distance for javelin and was a mere 8cm behind the leader, thus bringing home silver. Star of the day was Siyabulela Xulu, who clinched gold for both triple jump and long jump and ran his personal best time for the 100m with an explosive time of 11,52. He came third by just 0,02s. The sub-youth interprovincial meeting will take place at Pilditch Stadium, Pretoria on November 17 and 18.
