NEW Hanover Preparatory School celebrated the official opening of the new buildings at the school on Friday, November 15, with parents, past pupils, and members of the school community.
After a week of unpredictable weather and power outages, we were blessed with a perfect evening for the function.
The guests enjoyed walking through and admiring the new facilities and marvelled at the incredible changes to the school grounds. The school’s indoor centre was transformed into a beautiful venue to celebrate this auspicious occasion in the school’s history.
Special guests included a number of the past headmasters of the school, Vic Schroder, Brett Sliedrecht and James Hough as well as guest of honour, Peter Hassard, and representatives from neighbouring schools.
A number of speeches were made and the guests enjoyed a delicious dinner while reminiscing about the past and sharing the collective excitement about the future of the school.
Sincere gratitude to the Concorde Trust for the donation of these facilities resounded throughout the evening.
The school is extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this event, and to those who came from far and wide to celebrate it with us. It certainly was a wonderful celebration.
