Greytown Country Club

2017-11-08 06:01

THE Greytown Golf Classic of 2017 was played on Saturday November 4. A full field of 72 players took part and only the most foolhardy did not use sunscreen liberally as the sun blazed down.

Despite the drought conditions, greenkeeper Wally Kohne did a fantastic job presenting a very playable golf course and deservedly received a standing ovation at the prize giving ceremony.

It was wonderful to host so many players from out of town this year.

Winners of the Greytown Classic Floating Trophy 2017 were visitors C Wright and M. De Jager on 49 points.

Second were B. Ngonyama and O. Ndawonde 48 points and third was V. Roopai and M. Scott with 47 points oco.

We would like to thank our generous sponsors, players, club manager Ashley and the Classic committee of GCC who did a lot of work to put the Classic “on the planks”.

See sponsor thank you advert on this page.

Vicky Coetzee drew the winning number, but was not present for the members’ draw so R900 is available for this week;s draw.

Please call to book the Pannar Lounge for year-end functions.
