THE Plennegy Ladies Invitation was played on Sunday in glorious weather with 44 players turning up. The lady­ golfers thank Plennegy for their generous sponsorship.
The winning team was Pam Paul, Berndt Elges, Marius Muller and Humphrey Msomi on 89 points. Second­, on a count-out, were Joanie Koller, Colin Corbishley, Robin Furniss and Tienie Muller. Third was Ronel Botha’s team consisting of Flip Botha, Owen Naidoo and Josh Meyer. Congratulations to all the golfers who won prizes.

Happy Hour this month is on Friday 27 May. Errol and Debbie Rottcher are sponsoring the meal in remembrance of their house that burnt down a year ago. They thank the community for their support, understanding and love. Please join the Rottcher family at the country club for Happy Hour. R20 will put you into a draw to win R1 000 or a bottle of Chivas Regal.

Kevin Cockburn missed out on the money as he was not present at the time on the draw. The next attendance draw will be on Friday 3 June with R800 up for grabs. Be here from 6.30pm and you could be the lucky winner. The “9@9” entry fee is R50 and to play 18 holes is R80. Richard Chiazzari is sponsoring a chicken for the “9@9” that will be up for the winning on Sunday mornings.

Potjiekos competition is coming up on 2 July. R100 entry fee per pot. Get your recipes and enter. More details to follow closer to the time.
