WE are reintroducing the McConachie Cup golf competition this week. Last played in 2008, this family fun day will be played on Sunday 16 October. 9-hole American scramble with a shotgun start at 11am. Entry is R50, which includes your green fee and lunch. There will be a sheep turning on the spit braai while everybody enjoys nine holes of golf.
Eligible to play together will be husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend, brother and sister, golfer and hacker, father and daughter and mother and son. Please enter as partners accordingly.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy the day on the golf course as a family with a meal waiting for you on the 10th hole to share with friends.
Entry forms are on the notice board at the club or contact Elmarie on 033 417 2441 to enter.

Janine Mynhardt walked away with the cash from the members draw last Friday.
The next attendance draw will be on Friday 14 October with R100 up for grabs. Be here from 6.30pm and you could be the lucky winner.

Mascor monthly mug played last Saturday and with great golfing weather on our side golfers turned up from early morning toplay for that mug. Thank you to Mascor for sponsoring.

Spar is sponsoring two kilograms of Spar boerewors that can be won by entering the boerie run. Timings for this 9- hole initiative are posted at the club. Please support this and enjoy playing golf. The next boerie run is on Friday 28 October.

Die Heuwels Fantasties are coming to the club on Friday 28 October for our annual beer festival. This year promises to be bigger and better. Tickets are R200, available at the bar or contact Elmarie on 033 417 2441. Do not miss out on the opportunity to see this group live.
