THE Happy Hour winner was Clive Edkins who walked away with the cash and Tammy Meter took the Chivas. Hayden Chiazzari and Anelda Uys took the consolation prizes. Thank you to Umvoti Fuel & Oil for sponsoring the meal.

The first Mascor-NLC Golf Business League match of 2017 was played on Saturday 4 March with an encouraging entry of eight teams. The teams are the defending champions Pannar, Mascor, CPS, Bracken, Gtn Development, GTN Umvoti, Rhino Charcoal and we welcome a new kid on the block, Kombat.

This league is contested over four Saturdays during the year and consists of teams of three players representing businesses from Umvoti district, with two development sides also participating.

We would like to thank our sponsors, Mascor Greytown, which has been involved from the start of this league, for their tremendous support.

As from middle of 2016 the National Lotteries Commission became co-sponsors and we are grateful for their support.

The Mascor Monthly Mug for March was also played at the same time and the winners were: A-div: 1st Gareth Larkan 66 net; 2nd Humphrey Msomi 71 net. B div: 1st and winner of the Mug Goodboy Ngubane 64 net; 2nd Marius Muller 68 net.

The winning team oco on the day was new boys Kombat (102 pts), 2nd Mascor (102) and 3rd GTN Development (101).

Next up is our FNB Club Championship which will be played on March 18 and 19.

The Arcadia Golf Weekend, an exciting weekend of golf played at St Cathryn’s and Greytown, takes place on April 1 and 2.

The proceeds of this competition go to Arcadia Home and we urge our golfers to support this worthy cause.

Greytown Country Club has entered the KZN Midlands Golf League again and congratulations to Tienie Muller (captain), Steve vd Merwe, Boy Zuma and Marius Muller who won one and drew one.

The next attendance draw will be on Friday March 10 with R1 800 up for grabs. Be here from 6.30pm and you could be the lucky winner.
