THE final Mascor Golf Business League match of 2018 was played on Saturday, December 1 with six teams participating.

The teams were Kombat, Bracken, Mascor, Gtn Development, Gtn Umvoti, and Rhino Charcoal.

This league is contested over four Saturdays during the year and consists of teams of three players representing businesses from the Umvoti district.

The Mascor Business League floating trophy is at stake, as well as bragging rights for next year.

The Mascor Monthly Mug for December was also played at the same time and a field of 21 players entered.

The A division was won by Skhumbuzo Buthelezi on an excellent 65 net. He shot 69 gross, despite a stiff breeze and dry playing conditions.

Second was Bigboy Ngonyama on 66 net.

B division first and winner of the Mug was Sven Bruss on 65 netoco. Second was Tienie Muller on 67 net.

The Captain’s Putter was won in great style by the golf committee secretary.

The winning team on the day was Gtn Umvoti with an excellent score of 108 pts, second was Kombat (107) and third was Gtn Development (105).

The league was won by Kombat who pipped Bracken at the post.

We remind all golfers, especially novices, of our Hackers Christmas Bring and Take on Saturday, December 8.

Enter in teams of four which must include one handicapped golfer.

The format will be four ball American scramble.

The entry fee is one gift of approximately R40. Individual entries are most welcome. Tee-off will be at 10.30 am.
