THE annual Sanlam Cancer Golf Challenge took place at the Country Club on June 22. For a number of years Sanlam, partnered by Ernie Els, has supported the fight against cancer by organising this competition to promote awareness of the ever-increasing prevalence and dangers of cancer related diseases, as well as to raise funds to combat it. Seeing that this is a very worthy cause, a fine field of 21 players participated to show their support.

The RTS 9@9 on Sunday was again well supported and a field of 15 golfers enjoyed the winter sunshine outdoors. The chicken was won by a welcome new face, Manny Sewrag with 21 pts.
